DANA-“Generosity”
In Buddhist tradition service / teachings are given freely because they are considered priceless. Recipients are taught DANA by being given the opportunity to make monetary offerings following the experience. Dana is not payment for goods or services rendered; it is a gift from the heart. Your generosity is a gift, which supports not just the teachers but also the Sangha; the larger dharma community and your own practice. Doing so through eradicating the attachment which comes from feelings of separation and scarcity; thus amplifying your abundance. In Dana teachings individuals are encouraged to gift in accordance means. According to karmic law those who gift at or above their means will receive great reciprocity! Alternatively those who gift below their means are doing themselves a dis-service by giving from a place of scarcity.
